Our History
Belle View Jewelers has a fascinating family-oriented history. Carrying on the tradition of family-owned business and personal commitment to the community. Originally established in 1955, as Fleisher’s Jewelers, we have been in the same location in the Belle View shopping center for over 60 years. Rami Elhage acquired the business in 2005 making the Elhage family the third owners at this location. Only a few minute's drive from Old Town Alexandria and the Potomac River in Virginia. We are your local jewelry store that offers a lot more than pretty necklaces and diamond rings. We cater to the local community and take pride in having a wide selection of products to accommodate everyones' taste
Owner Rami Elhage
Rami has over 25 years of experience in the jewelry business. Rami was taught to be a watchmaker by his father in his native home of Lebanon. He brought the knowledge of this craft with him to New York City in 1988 where he graduated from the Joseph Bulova School of Watch Making.
Since 2005, Rami’s Belle View Jewelers has been providing its clients with elegant pieces of men’s and ladies jewelry, unique timepieces, and repairs. The store’s success can be attributed to Rami’s total commitment to attention to detail and providing an unparalleled level of quality and service to our clients. From 2000-2013 he held exclusive contracts with Bolling Air Force Base and Fort Belvoir performing watch, clock, and jewelry repairs for our military Service members. Although he specializes in watch and clock repairs, he takes pride in Belle View Jewelers and of being a part of the local community. He extends this pride to every customer, cultivating relationships that transform drop-in customers into life-long clients.
Daniel Elhage
Daniel has over 5 years of experience in the jewelry business. Like his father before him, Rami taught him at a young age, the art of repairing timepieces. Armed with 3 generations of knowledge, Daniel’s expertise and quality of workmanship became one of the hallmarks of our store. Daniel’s skills also include jewelry engraving and unprecedented knowledge of precious stones. However, Daniel takes the most pride in his customer service skills, when he sees a client’s reaction to that ‘perfect piece of jewelry’.
Alexa Kastantin
Alexa has over 30 years of experience in the jewelry business. Before joining Belle View Jewelers in 2008, Alexa was an associate with Black, Starr and Frost, and a diamond specialist with Jared®. Over her lifetime, she has also worked with many privately-owned jewelry stores. Alexa is affectionately known to our customers as the adopted “Grandmother,’ and prides herself on providing a level of personal service that our customers have come to appreciate over the years.
Chris Lietwiler
Chris has over 40 years of experience in the jewelry business. He is Belle View Jewelers professional Gemologist and Apprasier. He went to school at the Columbia School of Gemology in 1981 and finished his education at The Gemologist Institute of America earning his Master Gemologist Appraisers certification.
